Transylvania, with its name coming from Latin ultra silvam (beyond the forest), is one of the most interesting and surprising regions of Romania. Its German, Hungarian and Romanian cultural traditions play a great role in its cultural and ethnic diversity. The Transylvanian plateau is surrounded by mountain peaks and drained by sparkling rivers which makes it both a pleasant place for a relaxing holiday with a landscape pleasing to the eye and an exciting place for adventure-seeking travellers.

Transilvania Fest 2011
29 iul 2011 - 31 iul 2011
This harvest time festival encourages sustainable, small-scale agriculture while celebrating the uniquely Transilvanian peaceful coexistence of Romanian, Hungarian, and Rroma cultures. Held annually over the last weekend of September, Turda offers local visitors the opportunity to preserve their own traditions while sharing them with a national and international audience.
Transilvania seeks a permanent place among leading European events featuring agriculture, traditional food, sustainable tourism, multiculturalism, and local traditions. The festival is honoured to be supported in this mission by our patron HRH Crown Princess Margarita of Romania and International patron HRH the Prince of Wales.
Objective of Turda Fest Association.
