The church

The single nave gothic church was built in the 15th century and has no tower. Its polygonal choir has two bays covered with cross-ribbed vaults. The massive stone ribs lean on attached shafts. One of the choir keystones has a relief depicting the face of Jesus. Two niches covered by canopies have been preserved on the southern side of the choir and shelter statues of the Virgin Mary and St John which have been carved in an archaic technique. Also, on southern side there is a stone bench covered by a three-lobed canopy and opposite of this is a Eucharist shrine. There also used to be a vestry here though its doorway with a pointed arch has been walled up. One of the two-party windows has four lobes. The original font carved in oak wood is still preserved and bears fragments of old inscriptions.
The fortification
Although no longer preserved, the path of the mantle walls may be inferred through observation of the ground. A 19th century engraving depicts the church surrounded by a curtain wall; fragments of which and their storage rooms were preserved until the early 20th century.
