Extraordinary concerts at the THALIA concert hall.
05 mar 2007 AD
This week in Sibiu: two concerts with special guests for music lovers.
A talented orchestra will play music by a great contemporary Greek composer, Evanthia Rempoytsika. Her songs will be interpreted by Elli Paspala.
In Greece, she is regarded as one of the most talented musicians and important innovative composers. Although her music is not exclusively composed for soundtracks, it is, however, classified as film music.
After working at the soundtrack of the movie “Politiki Kouzina”, Evanthia Rempoytsika has written the music for the documentary film “Cry of the Aegean” directed by Lydia Karra and for the movie “Babam Ve Oglum” directed by Cagan Irmak from Turkey, which was rewarded at the cathegory of Best Soundtrack of the Year by the Vaporos University Radio.
The concert will take place on Tuesday, March 6, 7PM, at the Thalia concert hall. You can find entrance tickets at the Theatre Agency in Sibiu.
Another concert for classical music lovers will
take place on the 8th of March at 7PM. The orchestra will be
conducted by special guest Serge Zehnacker from France. You can listen to C.
Debussy, C. Saint-Saens, M. Ravel and G. Bizet interpreted by Cristian Florea.
