Sibiu – important destination for tourists from all over Europe

The presence of Sibiu at the International Berlin Tourism Fair will definitely make it a popular tourist destination this year and hopefully in the future.

Sibiu Cultural European Capital 2007 and the touristic offer of the Sibiu county will be present at the International Berlin Tourism Fair from the 7th until the 11th of March. This is the biggest gathering of tourism agencies in Europe. It is an excellent opportunity to make the city of Sibiu known to Europe and to introduce it in the tourism offers of other tourism agencies among the most attractive destinations. The cultural programme will also be presented to the public with the help of informative matterials such as brochures, flyers, presentation films of the Cultural Programme Sibiu2007 and of the city of Sibiu and surroundings and an interactive computer screen (touch screen) on which the websites www.sibiu2007.ro and www.sibiu.ro can be accessed.

 

Each year, the International Berlin Tourism Fair attracts the interest of over 150.000 visitors. This year, at its 41st edition, the organizers of the Fair expect over 10.000 tourism agencies from 180 countries. The presence of Sibiu in Berlin is part of the communication strategy of the Sibiu Cultural Capital 2007 programme. Sibiu will benefit from this action by raising its notoriety, espacially among German tourists.
