The Festival of Academic Music in Sighisoara 2007

The Summer Musical Academy and the Festival of Academic Music in Sighisoara, which reached in 2007 the 14th edition (the period is the traditional one, August 1-12), have become in the last few years a stable reference point in the cultural life of the town of Sighisoara and of the country.

At the Summer Musical Academy in Sighisoara were present and will be present high international reputation musicians (between 1994 and 2006: Gerardo Villa, Cordelia Höffer, Frank van der Laar, Patricia de la Vega – piano, Alexandru Gavrilovici, Karel Boeschoten, Clara Flieder – violin, Endre Guran, Sanda Crăciun – viola, Heidi Indermuehle, Andrea Kollé – flute, Hans Elhorst – oboe, Aurelian Octav Popa – clarinet, Christophe Pantillon, Goetz Teutsch, Dan Cavassi – cello, Botond Kostyák, György Árpád – double bass, Vladimir Lakatos – chamber music, Christian Henking – composition, The Voces Quartet, etc.), who came here animated by the desire of transmitting with enthusiasm and responsibility their experience in performing and teaching to the next generation.
